There are some great things to look forward to in life. One is the hint of spring in the air after several months of cold weather. Another is fresh waffles on a Sunday morning. With the opening of The Waffle Iron, now you can get a waffle most any day of the week.
However, these waffles are probably not like the waffles you make at home.
These are Liege Waffles. They are made with a different type of batter which gives the waffle a slightly different texture with a great feel and platter for everything from ice cream to savory options like eggs.
When I stopped in, it was late in the afternoon, so I opted for “The Scoop”, which consists of a liege waffle with two scoops of vanilla bean ice cream drizzled with chocolate and caramel. Did I mention that waffles are made to order? Every one of the waffles is made when you order it. So, if you are expecting a quick in and out. It isn’t that type of place. It will take a couple of minutes to get your fresh waffle delight.
The Waffle Iron is located across the parking lot from Great Harvest Bread Company. Inside, it is comfortable and a place you can relax with friends and enjoy your waffle creation.
Expect to spend $6 to $9 for your waffle. But, I believe that you will enjoy every bite of it. The address is 37 West Center Street, Logan, Utah.
